"Birthday meal"

We had a lovely meal for my mums birthday (she was 83).

Food was lovely, service was great. Mum got her main and dessert for free as it was her birthday (did have to bring ID which is fine)

Only thing stopping the 5 stars was that the waitress took a photo of the id. Presumably to demonstrate to management that it had been validated.

There was no request to do so but, more importantly, in regards to GDPR it’s not something I was comfortable with. It wasn’t raised at the time as mum is paranoid about this kind of thing and I’d had some battle to get her to bring it in the first place.
