"Excellence with an extra savoury twist"

Excellent service and the food was in abundance. My added comment here would be that although I asked for more savoury “fancies” I was under impression that we would have half savoury and half sweet? We were served more savoury but was surprised to see the same amount of sweet treats. As we had paid a £10 deposit we hoped that the price would be as advertised- it was more expensive because of the extra savouries . However, as a seasoned afternoon tea critic, I have to say it was one of the best. The quality of the sandwiches was excellent, including the variety and quality, the extra savouries were original and truly delicious and the sweet, though too much, which we took away with us, were tasty, diverse and better than many sweet bites, I have had in the past. We were left alone in a lovely comfy room, not rushed and beautifully looked after. A bigger tea pot would have been preferred, as the pot was not big enough for 2 tea bags and therefore plenty of extra hot water was required. However, this was always there. Thank you.
