"Anniversary meal for two "

Late booking on morning of day concerned. Hotel receptionist, very friendly & polite despite me being in ‘work gear’. Not always the case.
Varied menu, reasonably priced as other equivalent’s. Both loved the food, no complaints.
Just us in a side room’ of 6 or 7 tables. Again, no complaints, perfect for us but, if you wanted to be in ‘busy bit’ maybe ask for a bar area table.
Service was great by all staff, as was food.
Actual dining rooms & bar again, very nice. Made a very pleasant change from the ‘usual’ Oswestry choices.
Only downside was a no cash policy, card or electric payment only. Did see this advertised on the way out though, just didn’t see it going in. Not helpful when trying to make a surprise payment. Otherwise great all round, will go again, with an appropriate card.
