"Bad experience "

We were visiting the area and after reading reviews we thought this would be a good dinner spot for us with a child and a dog.. we were wrong.

I made a booking online under their dog friendly booking option. On arrival a table hasn’t been reserved in bar area (which allows dogs). So they needed to clear a table for us, they removed plates but didn’t clean the table… basics surely. We booked for dinner and got given the lunch menu at 6pm, which was strange which they quickly replaced once we questioned.

Our food took ages to arrive and our sides of onion rings arrive late with one being dropped on the floor with others cold which lead us to wonder if they had all been dropped!

The vegan burger was dry and barely any cheese on it, you couldn’t notice it was there! Was it really worth nearly £17 absolutely not.

The kids meals was a couple of slices of bread and a slice of cheese… worth the price no!

Drinks were overpriced and we come from a city!

The website stated that during the school holidays it was kids meals for free which didn’t happen but at this point we just wanted to get out of there and wasn’t worth the battle with the staff who seemed very uninformed about options.

Considering the reviews and what we had read about the hotel and restaurant we had a very poor experience which was extremely expensive for what we got.
