The Wynnstay Hotel, Oswestry

"Lovely room, comfortable friendly place but room for improvement "

Room across from the bowling green was very well kitted out and pretty. Floorboards very creaky and doors very hard to close quietly. Had drinks at the hotel bar a few times and it was clear the staff weren’t as well trained in what drinks they offered and how to prepare them. I asked for a Pimms and lemonade (cocktail) and the bar staff were confused, even after my husband told them how to make it. The service in the restaurant on the first night was good, food came out on time, but the second night was awful, waited 40 minutes for our starters and then it was cold. Then because we made a complaint it felt like everyone avoided us! I think the hotel overall was great but like I said in the title, definitely some room for improvement. Sofia from the wait staff was super, nothing she couldn’t do for us. Lady at reception was so nice to us, unfortunately can’t remember her name as my memory is poor.
