Afternoon tea for 6. Easy to book with email confirmation. Deposit required.
Tea was very nice and worked well for our family get together.
Reasons its not 5 out of 5.
Price. I think it was pricy at £44 for 2, but I guess you are paying for being in Richmond.
Ambiance. We were the only ones in the dining room. Actually it was perfect for us as we were talking amongst ourselves. However, if it had just been 2 of us it would have been underwhelming.
Service. The staff were very nice and when we arrived got us all settled and the tea brought out. However, after this no one came to check on us (there was a wedding on so I think they were busy). I had to grab someone to top up the tea and coffee.
The bill. Took 3 goes to get the bill right. An extra glass of wine was added. The deposit was not deducted. Service charge 10% was added automatically. I prefer to leave cash on the table.
