"Slow service"

Went for Sunday lunch. Table was booked on a 2 hour slot. The kids had 3 courses while the adults just had mains and puddings. There was a while to wait before the kids starters came out. We then had a 45 minute wait between their starters being cleared and our mains being served. We had a table booked for 2.15 and the main courses came at 3.30! We then had puddings as they were part of the 2 course set menu. The second they were cleared we were handed our bill and told that the table was needed and of we wanted to stay we need to move to the bar! If we hadn't have had such a wait before we started eating then we would have felt more relaxed and had coffee after lunch. The food was nice but certainly not exceptional for the price. Sunday lunch does not need to be served in a giant Yorkshire pudding! More emphasis needed on the veg and definitely more gravy needed.
