"One of the worst meals we’ve had ever!"

I booked this venue for my daughters’ birthday dinner.
Service at first was friendly and fairly prompt - drinks order taken but waited a while to receive them. Food order not taken for 30 minutes.
Starters received and one was inedible slop (cheddar fritters), the other had no katsu sauce and mine was £6.45 for a Yorkshire pudding and gravy - vastly overpriced for what it was. Took two of them to the bar to complain and 3 members of staff ignored my daughter when it was obvious why she was there.
Main course came and two of us ordered the crispy cauliflower satay salad. Both had menu items missing which we had to ask for. The cauliflower itself was ok but there was virtually no satay sauce - the glass noodles were bone dry and inedible. It was as if the chef who plated this dish had never seen it before and had no idea what it was supposed to look like. Staff, when collecting plates, did not ask us how the meal was (I think they could definitely tell we weren’t pleased by this point so didn’t bother asking).
We had to ask twice for the bill as it took so long coming, then when it did it was incorrect (starters not deducted, double charged for a Guinness, did no remove birthday girls’ main course). To be fair they did remove the 10% gratuity without being asked to.
Service was slow and disinterested (did not seem interested in improving our experience in any way) and were happy for us to leave disappointed. Food was truly awful, although those who had the burgers stated they were ‘alright’. To top it off, 4 out of 5 of us had uncomfortable stomachs for the rest of the evening.
I was not going to bother leaving a review but then I received an email invitation to review from the venue this evening. Would not recommend!
