"Lovely environment & service, disappointed with my food"

We brought 2 guests. 3 were happy with their food however I was very disappointed with my large fish & chips. The fish & tartare sauce were fine but the chips were a mix of fresh & older cooked chips. The peas were incredibly salted so I could not eat them. Because we had guests I did not want to make a fuss but needed to feedback. One friend (88 yrs) had the small fish & chips & did eat hers. The haddock omelette & the burger were apparently very good.
