The Rutland Arms Hotel, Bakewell

"Gorgeous surroundings and delicious food."

Not hotel guests but we decided to book in for an evening meal. The beautiful dining room was spectacular. The maitre'd was attentive and efficient. My partner had 3 "small plates". They weren't small - great portions. Everything we ordered was delicious. We shared a dessert as we were so full. The one minor niggle is that the staff were so busy that we didn't get asked if we wanted a second drink and it took a while to get the bill. But I booked this, thinking it was a nice pub attached to a hotel, but it far exceeded my expectations. A real gem.
