"Fantastic stay at the Rutland Arms Hotel, Bakewell "

I arranged a night at the Rutland Arms Hotel for my 80 year old mum as a bit of a treat for her birthday as she loves Bakewell. It made a change for her and it did her good to get away from home for a night, although she was a bit nervous as she was on her own and hadn't done anything like this for a long time. I'd hoped it would encourage her to book more, longer trips away and this stay in Bakewell has certainly encouraged her and given her the confidence to do that and that was down to the fantastic hotel itself but also down to all of the lovely staff who went over and above to be so friendly and welcoming to her and looked after her so well, thank you to every one of you, you made her short stay so fantastic, its just what she needed. In particular she loved the staff in the restaurant when she had dinner because she was on her own and they were so friendly and attentive and they'd noticed the booking was for her birthday and they surprised her with a 'birthday dessert' which she thought was amazing. She saw a couple of members of the same staff the next morning at breakfast and they made her feel so very welcome and that's what she took away with her, she'd be made to feel at ease and had really enjoyed herself and a lot of that was down to how friendly and kind the staff were and that's so important, particularly when someone is on their own.
Its things like this that family members appreciate and why we are then very happy to recommend the Rutland Arms Hotel to other people :)
