The Rutland Arms Hotel, Bakewell

"Prepare for a long wait."

This was our third time at the Rutland Arms. Today, we just had dinner - didn't stay overnight.
The meal was beautifully cooked, but portions were small and the wait long....which was as one with our last visit, when breakfast took more than an hour to arrive from sit down. Dinner took 2 hours.
Our first visit went well, hence the second visit, but clearly, there is some sort of staffing issue, or worse yet, a lack of recognition that there IS a staffing issue.
For the price, the meal offered wasn't good value. Even if the quality was high. Too many ancillary issues, easily avoided.
