The Rutland Arms Hotel, Bakewell

"Reasonable"

Well, imagine Sunday evening after a nice stroll of the city. We've been seated at the table in a very nice enivronment (lots, lots of paintings) we have been given the menu (which by the way it has about one third of the options it had pre-pandemic; or is it pre-Brexit? I don't know) and then ... we don't have that, we don't have that and so on. We finally settled for some starters and some pork which was ... reasonable. And no drinks menu apart from some specials list on the table. So, in a word the enitre experience was reasonable. Nothing to be wow about.
