"Do they really care - I don’t think so"

Went in a group of four. When eventually someone came to our table, they asked if we would like another drink, to which we replied we hadn’t been offered any drinks so far. They took our order and eventually asked for our food order. My three companions food was fine, but unfortunately my liver and bacon wasn’t as good with tubes in the liver. This is the only restaurant where they haven’t come up during the meal and asked if the meal was okay. At the end of the meal, they came to take the plates away and I commented that unfortunately my liver wasn’t up to scratch and he said I’ll tell the kitchen staff. No apology or offer of any replacement or free drink etc. I found this very disappointing and was left with the feeling that they didn’t really care. On the flip side there was a quiz about to start and a very friendly gentleman asked if we would like to join the quiz, he took time to explain how it worked and couldn’t have been more helpful. Strangely I don’t think he even worked for the restaurant. I think the staff could learn a lot from him!
