"Food and service disappointing "

The place and decor is fantastic, it’s a shame the food is not up to the same standards.
My fish and chips was poor , the batter was soggy, the chips were awful (no taste, mcCains are better) and the mushy peas tasted awful.
My wife had the liver and bacon which was just ok.
The desert was lovely. No attention to the customer. No one came back to ask if food was ok and it all a bit lack lustre. More attention required and better food before we will return.
Finally zero Guinness can at £6.50 tin, really. 4 cans at Tesco for £5.99. Rip off and they should be ashamed. Also our online booking was lost, didn’t matter as it was half empty, again though no attention to detail!!
