"Lovely venue"

Everyone was very polite, but service was very slow. Our initial drinks order took 20 mins to come up and we were not given a menu until after the drinks had been served. There were long periods of time when the room and bar were empty of staff.. maybe they are short of staff…. The wine ordered wasn’t available that extended the wait. I had to change my order due to items being unavailable. It would have been good to be told these things in advance, so choices aren’t then hurried. My chips were hard and dry. Even slow to take the money. Just seemed a lack of connectivity all round.
