"Lunch at the Swan"

I took my Mum and her friend for lunch, both elderly and with limited mobility. I was advised that a waitress would collect us from the seating area linking to the restaurant when our table was ready. 15 minutes later I checked what was happening and was told that she’d looked at the first table which was empty and didn’t see the three of us, two with mobility aids on the next table looking at menus. Our drinks were served promptly but the one bottled drink was placed in front of an elderly gentleman unopened with a tight lid, not served. It took 40 plus minutes for our main meal to arrive, the restaurant was virtually empty and the same again for two sweets. The friendly attitude of the waitress was very forced and disingenuous. I’ve been for numerous meals at the Swan and other Coaching Inns over the years but found this experience very disappointing
