"Good food, on the slow side for mains"

Food was good and portion size was good; "taster" starters came out fairly promptly but then there was quite a long wait for the mains - approx 45 mins I think.

Staff very good.

Given all the crazy price increases across the board in pubs/restaurants, value for money here was pretty good - it's a bit more expensive than what has become the average/standard price, but overall experience noticeably better than most.

One small example of that was being served an ale that was tepid rather than freezing cold.
