The Swan Hotel, Stafford

"Festive menu "

We came for a meal with friends last night (Saturday 9th December at 6.15pm) we all had the pre selected festive menu, our first meal at the Swan hotel.

Unfortunately I was disappointed with with my starter and pudding to be honest. See pictures attached of mushroom pate. It looked un appealing and didn't have must taste to it and was very mushy and lacked flavour, not like any pate I've had previously had.

Also, the mulled wine creme brulee was cold and was like a yogurt consistent underneath. I think the swan hotel should be able to do better than this, it wasn't busy when we arrived and obviously our food was pre ordered.

The service and atmosphere was good and we enjoyed the main course with the added bonus of the window seating, but unfortunately I wouldn't choose the festive menu again.
