The Swan Hotel, Stafford

"Evening meal before theatre"

The meal was tasty but nothing special. We only had a main course before a visit to the Gatehouse theatre in Stafford. The location is good for this because it’s very close. The decor and the atmosphere in the hotel is very good.
However we did feel pressurised by the waiter and waitress, this was because we were asked continually if we wanted more drinks. At the end of the meal we were asked if we wanted dessert we didn’t so straight away we were given and a few minutes the card machine was brought. We felt really pressurised to pay and leave quickly , so for this reason we have given the service a low score. Hospitality venues don’t normally pressurise you like this.
