The Swan Hotel, Stafford

"Very disappointing food. "

Our visit on Mothers Day was very disappointing. We have eaten at the Swan as a family previously and, although expensive, we have been happy with the meal. This time one of the lamb main courses was more fat than meat; the beef was cut so thick it was like shoe leather; the nut roast was more like a portion of stuffing and one of our party had one of the vegetables missing. The king prawn starter wasn’t described as having unpeeled prawns and was served without a finger bowl. Other starters and the puddings/ cheese were good. We were individually unhappy but only discovered this after the meal as none of us wanted to spoil the experience. Staff were very pleasant and helpful.
