The Swan Hotel, Stafford

"30th Birthday meal, party of 7."

Overall very disappointed:
Despite the strict two hour slot wording of the booking, service was very slow, and not very attentive. And we were latter than planned leaving.
The food was not as good as we remembered:
The satay salads: all the glass noodles were barely cooked. The satay dressing was missing and had to asked for. One of them arrived late and the cauliflower was not battered.
The Squashie cocktail arrived with no squashies, with no explanation / apology.
When we were discussing the meal at home we notice on the bill we had been charged an extra meal (8off) and then one deducted for the birthday, so we did not get the advertised and offered discount.
I intend to ask for the incorrectly billed sum next time we are in Stafford.
