"Could be better"

Nice restaurant, food was good, however, my husbands chosen main meal was a very small portion and was more like a starter (steak strips, mash, spinach and poached egg) whereas my shepherds pie was a really big portion, so fortunately my husband could share some of mine to fill him up. Service started out well but then got slowly worse, we were left with dessert menus for 20 mins, then had to find someone to ask if they would take our order. When receiving our order of hot drinks, no sugar or sweetener was provided, so again I went in search of staff but noticed bowls of sugar by the till, so helped myself to that. We didn't leave a tip for this reason.
