The Swan Hotel, Stafford

"Not the best experience. "

We booked a birthday lunch for my Mother in Law's 86th. We stay at The Swan regularly as does my sister in law and her family and have always enjoyed the food there. We wrote explaining the required evidence of it being her birthday, drivers licence, passport etc was unlikely at that age but could we also be considered. We received a confirmation email that we could.
The meal was noisy due to a very long and loud sales pitch to a wedding party which made conversation impossible. Annoyingly, despite me mentioning it was my MiL's b'day to the waitress, her meal was still charged to our bill. We only noticed this a couple of days ago when my husband cleared out his wallet.
