"Standards have dropped "

Went for breakfast to celebrate a friends birthday (4 of us)
Table booked, fine, ordered in coffee shop , fine.
Breakfast arrived on overlooking large plates, too big for table. Assistant put down our breakfasts and disappeared. No salt and pepper or sauces, so I asked at reception, was told to get them from coffee shop. Breakfast on table remember. Went into coffee shop and joined que of around 5 people in front of me. Waited a few minutes then started to feel a little cross as my breakfast was sitting on the table going cold. I managed to get a young assistant as he was passing and he gave me the condiments to take back to the table.
I know this would not of happened in the restaurant.
Professionalism ( lack of) let the Swan down.
The white heart in Boston is run so well with smiling faces and courtesy that maybe the Swan should take a leaf out of their book.
