"Disappointing afternoon tea"

We weren’t greeted very nicely by the manager when we arrived. She commented on the fact we had arrived 15 minutes early and that we could sit at the table but we wouldn’t be served. The food didn’t arrive until 25 minutes after our booking time. We were the only people in the restaurant at the time.
The cakes and sandwiches presented looked as though they had no idea we were coming and were trying to find things to fill the plate.
The children’s afternoon tea definitely wasn’t as described. No vegetable sticks with dips. Just a doughnut and a chocolate covered cake.
Jason served us and was very pleasant and helpful.
If you are looking to do something special as a treat that you don’t get to do very often
Do not go for afternoon tea at the swan in Stafford as you’ll be very disappointed.
