"What a shame!"

I wanted a nice meal out with my friend and came away feeling totally disappointed after a £100 bill.
To start, I had the soup which was actually quite nice but the bread was harder than a rock on the outside even though okay on the inside which makes me think it had been warmed a few times that night..
Going on to the main, £30 I paid for a medium rare steak that came out rare, even blue in places. I actually don’t mind a rare/blue steak occasionally so I didn’t complain as I was already feeling under pressure to eat quickly and get out because we were a late sitting at 20:15. Anywho back to the steak.. not only was it completely undercooked, I also found a long string of CLINGFILM in my salad!!
When a waiter came to collect the plates I raised this to them and got a sarcastic “ooo dear sorry about that”.. and that was that, the full bill arrived to pay with no other apology or reduction or anything. I would have been happy with anything even just proper acknowledgement would have been nice!
I don’t know about everyone else, but £30 for a 8oz sirloin is more than I would normally pay but I thought with such a nice restaurant it will be cooked amazingly so it is worth it! I’ve woken up so disappointed and annoyed that I spent £58 for my share last night that was actually not what I wanted at all and feeling like the place didn’t care. Won’t be making the trip there again!
