"Weekend break to see friends"

Ambience on entering very nice. Bar areas nicely decorated, nice seating areas. Lovely for either coffee or alcohol.
Superior double room not great as outdated furniture. Hairdryer supplied was broken. Our room overlooked the front main street which we found very noisy. Better double glazing needed. Bathroom very spacious but no walk in shower which can cause problems for people with mobility problems. There’s plenty of room to put one in!
Breakfast was ok but service extremely slow. No croissants and orange juice not topped up (this was at 9am) so had to ask for things.
Evening meal was good & service better.
Security very poor as people can just walk through the hotel and front desk (reception) not always manned.
