The Swan Hotel, Stafford

"Great hotel, clean comfy room, good food but some restaurant service needs improvement "

Stayed before quirky decor in good taste. Good food, nice bar area and a good band were on Friday evening. Standing only so we didn’t watch as we’re not able but music sounded great. Bar service good, comfy areas to sit.Bedroom clean, comfy bed and good size. Disappointed with a couple of restaurant staff. Meal takes approx 30mins after ordering as fresh but our wine didn’t arrive until afterwards after prompting.
No one around for quite some time to offer dessert menu and drinks took time to come also.
We waited 45mins for breakfast after ordering, tea and coffee arrived quickly but we needed to order more with the meal.
We overheard one member of staff telling other customers that they had only just made it in time to order breakfast- in my view that’s poor customer service.
Price reasonable and lovely environment but we might not eat in the restaurant if we book in future.
