"Terrible Experience "

Booked a table at 6pm for 6 adults and 2 children to celebrate our friends visiting from America.

Ordered mains and waited well over an hour for them, with another table of 6 who sat down after us being served their food first. Apart from our table and there's, the restaurant seemed empty.

We were told on multiple occasions our meals were being plated up...and then continued to wait. The young children in the party (18months and 4) were getting more and more restless and hungry.

Our waitress never seemed to be around. We had to go and find her on multiple occasions throughout the night.

When leaving the table to find someone to question the delay with our food, I was told we were a large order (although I feel 6 meals and 2 children's meals isn't out of the ordinary for a restaurant!?!).

When our food eventually arrived, it was 'ok' but not to a standard we'd expect for the price. Our side dishes had to be chased as they didn't arrive....again meaning someone had to leave the table to find out waitress.

We were offered complimentary desserts which we accepted, but again, had to wait an unusually long time for. When they finally arrived, we realised we'd been given no spoons for some of the party so again, had to leave the table to go and find our own spoons!

Whilst letting our dinner settle and drinking our wine we purchased, our waitress came to the table and said "Who's paying the bill or should I split it?"....there was no "was everything ok? Would you like the bill? Are you guys finished?" and as far as I was aware, the restaurant was no where near closing time.

It was really clear we were an inconvenience and she wanted to pack up and clear down. This was at around 10pm and we still had some desserts on the table!

Overall a really disappointing experience which became quite embarrassing since we had some special guests who we hadn't seen for 6 years with us. We wanted our evening to be pleasant, relaxing and enjoyable but it turned out to be far low satisfactory in customer service and only satisfactory for food.
