The Swan Hotel, Stafford

"Lovely hotel, however small things let it down. "

On reaching Stafford, it took me a further hour to find the car park attached to the Swan. I rang, and asked someone to call me back, sadly they didn't. I stopped and asked several people, who tried to help but in the end it was more luck that I found the car park. The Swan kindly allowed me to park my car for the following day, whilst I delivered training and I had several (easily 8 emails confirming this), it would have been helpful for the postcode to have been included in these emails.
Room was spacious, scrupulously clean, and comfortable. With biscuits and tea & coffee supplies, always great after a long journey.
The remote for the television, sadly did not work, and didn't look great with black tape keeping the batteries in (maybe this is why it didn't work).
I booked an evening meal and breakfast, both were a little disappointing. Salad and chicken should be quite easy, the chicken was tough, aparagus overcooked. Breakfast, eggs royale, I asked for the hollandaise on the side, it was over the eggs. I asked for my poach egg to be hard (as I cannot eat runny yolks), it came runny. Shame to only have one coffee offered.
