"Super Venue"

We live in Bedfordshire but wanted to meet some friends from Lincolnshire and also our son and family from Northamptonshire, so we all had quite a journey, our son's took an hour and us others 45 minutes. I had met friends from Norfolk here in the past so knew it was a lovely place. There were 8 of us for Sunday Lunch and 6 of us had a roast dinner. However, all of us had lukewarm meals which spoilt the dinner. We were treating everyone for a special occasion and hoped it to be special but unfortunately it wasn't. The service was good, the building is absolutely beautiful but the food was rather disappointing, I'm afraid. Regarding my poor mark for drinks, it was because my son ordered a pint of something which didn't arrive , when we reminded the waitress she went of to investigate and came back saying they needed to change the barrel or some such but then came again later and said they couldn't do it, this was all acceptable apart from the time it took to tell us this.
