"A family Christmas meal that was a let down"

Arrived to find we was not sat in the restaurant as requested, we stated that we had confirmation of booking the restaurant but it was point blank nothing we can do about that. I had also called and said we would need room for a pram but they put us on a table squashed in the side of the room. It was so embarrassing that another member of the public came over and offered us their table because they felt sorry for us.
When I asked the manager where we should put our pram, she started shoving the table over to the bar so that we was completely blocked in, yet there was plenty of room the other side to move the table next to us.. away from us. We all sat on top of each other, my 70 year old dad, 2 children and 2 adults. It was our first family outing for Christmas and my dad’s only outing so it completely ruined it.
I think the fact another person from a different table came over to offer their table shows it was obviously not acceptable to do to us.

The manager drew a lot of attention to us and completely embarrassed us.

The bar man saved the day, he was lovely, helpful and very kind/good with children.

The food was good, fish and chips lovely, however the roast was sparse, not great portions, the cauliflower cheese was horrendous, very dry, but on a whole the food was really nice.

The experience was let down entirely by the manager, she was unhelpful, entitled and was not even slightly apologetic for the mix up. She didn’t even offer a slight reduction from the bill for all of the errors.
