"Disappointing "

I absolutely love going to The Bell so I don’t like to give a bad review but Afternoon tea was a let down - food was really nice but afternoon tea is supposed to feel special and we were sat in the bar amongst people having a drink with lots of dogs and we felt a bit on show and couldn’t relax - there was a dog lying next to our table!! No one asked if everything was ok or checked in after being seated/ the food arrived and I had to get up to go and ask for a refill of tea at the bar - when the waitress came over, she didn’t look happy and said ‘what was it you wanted’!! When we got up to leave I tried to catch the eye of the waitress to say thank you, but she walked past without a word! Would not recommend for Afternoon tea, especially for a special occasion - we were made to feel like an inconvenience.
