"Excellent food"

Excellent food and quality as always. Regular visitors. So much flavour and fresh ingredients. Only down side on this occasion was the wait for each course. Very slow and at least half an hour/45 minute wait for starters (both had soup) and same wait for mains. Maybe you were short on staff but we did not receive any courtesy warning about the wait for food etc by the waiting staff etc. My husband also found two hairs (one on the water glass bottle and the other in his food), we did not raise this at the time as it was his birthday meal and didnt want to make a fuss as his meal & dessert was free in the deal but maybe cooks/waiting staff to be more mindful of this. Also booked the Bistro dining online for 7.45pm. When we arrived, we were told we were in the bar area. I raised this & showed the staff member & they managed to ‘squeeze’ us in?? There WAS availability online when booking and when myself and husband left for the evening, there were still tables in this area free so could not understand why we were going to be placed in bar area despite booking online for bistro and had confirmation of availability. As I say we did still get seated in the Bistro but this should not have been a problem in the first place.
