"Could be a very good hotel"

Problems started with the booking process. I did not receive confirmation. I was then asked to review my stay a whole week in advance of the stay. This made me anxious and I had to phone the hotel to check whether I had made a mistake with the booking. I then was asked what time I wanted dinner ... and I replied saying 1930h .... then was asked which hotel this was for (!!) You'd think they would know. I then got a booking for two when I booked as a singleton.

Arrival at the hotel was a relief and, this time, I got a room with a window (No. 14). I think I was in No. 15 before which only has a skylight. No matter ... the room was stiflingly hot and impossible to cool down with the limited stay on the window. I could have slept better if I could cool the room.

Better was the cheerful table service in the restaurant .... cheerful but forgetful.
