"Could have been better"

The young lady who greeted us and took our order was lovely. Both starters were lovely, but we had to wait a while for our mains, people who were seated after us received their mains first. My wife’s fries were hard and coleslaw began to separate so I’m guessing for whatever reason, our mains had sat under the lights for some time. My main was pie of the day which was fine, although the mash could have been hotter. The restaurant is lovely and perhaps we were a little unlucky, we’d certainly give it another try.
