"My meal was disappointing and the service was just okay"

As a main course I had the Beef mince and dumpling. The mince was okay but the dumplings were under cooked and it was like eating uncooked pastry. Both lacked flavour.
My wife was happy with her main course.
Our puddings were fair but they appeared tob expensive.
Finally the cutlery was presented in a haphazard way.
