"Wife’s Birthday "

Had a most enjoyable evening meal at the Golden Lion to celebrate my wife’s Birthday, the food was all very nicely presented and very tasty , We both had 3 courses , I had the Pie for my main course and thought it was exceptional in flavour and a proper pie in that many places only give you a pastry Lid which for me is not a pie . This was a fully encased proper pie ! My wife’s only criticism was that she didn’t feel her belly pork had been sufficiently seasoned for her liking , however she still enjoyed it . This is not our first visit to the Golden Lion and it certainly will not be our last .
