The Tudor House Hotel, Tewkesbury

"Lovely relaxing peaceful hotel"

This was our first visit to Tewkesbury for a very long time, and our visit was primarily to see a show at the local venue and chose Tudor House because of its locale to that venue. Only stayed one night but must say this hotel is simply gorgeous. Our room was in the courtyard overlooking the river and grasslands and the view was fantastic.
Our room was spotless and extremely well prepared with lots of nice touches by way of freebies. We had dinner there and whilst the menu is simple it is adequate and reasonably priced. Our only problem was that service was on the slow side, but the manager explained to us about staff problems and staff non shows so this was not a problem. We like to go to local horse race meets and on our next trip to Worcester or Cheltenham we will certainly stay here. A little gem.
