The Tudor House Hotel, Tewkesbury

"Room was lovely, the rest not so good"

My room showed a lot of thought and was first class! The hotel has so much to offer but the bar/restaurant really lets it down. Could be anywhere: really generic and boring. I had mushroom soup at lunch and it was simply ghastly.... tasteless and greasy. I only ate about three mouthfuls and didn't need to reapply lip gloss for hours! I seriously thought about cancelling my dinner reservation, but I didn't and the roast pork was ok, but there was no stuffing and I had to ask for more gravy as everything was very dry. The Yorkshire pudding was so dry I did not find it edible.

The staff in the bar/restaurant were polite and mostly smart. The guy on reception was scruffily dressed and wasn't friendly. Maybe having a bad day.
