"Good amazing! Service not so much!"

I booked a table for a party of 5, I had requested a table outside. When we got there the person who served us couldn’t have been less helpful if she tried!
She struggled to find my booking, then wondered off leaving us not sure if we should follow her or not. When she came back she said your in here, and pointed to the little snug area, I explained I had requested a table outside, she said ‘well this table is set up for you’ ok but we want to site outside, it’s a hot sunny day, last thing we want is to be sat indoors especially when I had gone to the trouble of booking in advance for a table outside. I asked if there was a table outside available and she kept repeating ‘but this is the table set up for you’ in the end I said for her not to worry and I’d go see if there was a table myself. Luckily there was one available large enough for our party.
She then came outside about 5 minutes later and took a further 5 minutes to put down our cutlery and water glasses (which was just awkward) then asked if we’d like water. I think some additional training is needed here, why spend so long putting down glasses if you’re not going to bring water or ask if we would like water before sorting the glasses. And bringing us the menus at this point would have been beneficial too.
We eventually got the menus and ordered back in the bar (which I totally understand when we’re sat outside) but I really don’t like it when your paying for your meal in advance and expected to pay a service charge first. I asked them to remove it.
The food was amazing! We couldn’t fault it!! We all thoroughly enjoyed it! Compliments to the chefs!
However, no one came round to see how our meal was, and we had to sit with the dirty plates infront of us for god knows how long. We had to go back in and ask for our desserts as we had ordered them all together and that’s when they removed out dirty plates when bringing our desserts.
Every time we went in to the bar to order food/ further drinks etc we were welcomed with rudeness and attitude, so my attitude mirrored theirs.
We are locals and we enjoyed our meal so much but unfortunately we WILL NOT be back anytime soon. The service and experience is just as important as the food!
