"Wouldn’t return to the restaurant "

We booked a table for 4 for 7pm but arrived early for drinks. We were seated at our table , brought drinks and asked if we could order a plate of bread & olives whilst waiting. We were told no this wasn’t possible - the place didn’t seem busy so one if the party nipped to the shop and got olives and chilli nuts. Would a bit of bread and olive oil with balsamic been a huge hassle? The food was ordered at 7pm. Waiting staff were lovely, food mediocre but the restaurant manageress needs a customer service course. None of us were impressed or happy with the evenings meal.
