"Comfortable Room"

I have two more nights to go!. Dined Tuesday 3rd September. Hubby was served a beautiful dish of Roast Chicken with dauphinoise on a bed of peas and silver skin onions in a creamy thyme veloute. Served on a hot plate. I got a plate of very undercooked penne pasta with a minuscule portion of Sea Bass with a dollop of green stuff served on a cold plate. We waited 45 minutes for the food. I returned my plate of cold pasta and ordered the roast chicken which was delicious. How that plate of cold pasta left the Pass is beyond comprehension. I got no apologies and hubby had finished his dish by the time mine had arrived. If I’m ordering Sea bass that has to be the main event and penne does not go with it. Rather serve the fish in the same sauce as the roast chicken and add dauphinoise. It is by far the worst meal anyone has served me up in a very long time.we both had the Bakewell ice cream sundaes. Hard lumps of stale Bakewell does not make for a pleasant pudding so can’t recommend it.
Breakfast was eggs Benedict for both of us and was perfectly cooked and served.
Room was lovely and I had it serviced . Returned at the end of an exhausting day to the gentle sound of classical music playing on the radio and a well serviced room. Staff here are very hardworking and seem to have multiple roles.
