The Royal Oak Hotel Eatery & Coffee House, Welshpool

"Great room. Poor food "

Wonderful well-equipped and spotless room. Unfortunately the food is below average. Steak Pie due to come with gravy and either chips or mash. Came with both mash and chips and no gravy. The lid of the pie was hard and inedible. The Steak was hard and burnt. My wife had a chicken dish but left half as the chicken was dry. Breakfast fruit was badly prepared and bruised. Toast was thin sliced supermarket bread. Coffee very thin.
Great hotel let down by a poor kitchen.
