"Service appalling "

Took my mother for a birthday treat approx 4 girls on bar at all times.
Told 2 girls on 2 separate occasions we've booked a table in dining room.Each asked me twice each if was for afternoon tea 4 times said no.
Eventually moved to dining room.Food ordered arrived approx 30 mins later.
Food adequate but not great. Not once did we see another member of staff again after us finishing our food some 20 mins past.Went to bar where I found another member of staff to request another drink and for someone to remove our plates and to request dessert menu. When I was informed kitchen had closed. Why serve a main meal if you couldn't then provide a dessert also if members of staff had come to check on us we may have had time to order a dessert. 2 others customers were told the same.
Overall a birthday treat was ruined for my 83 year mother,by lack lustre lazy rude staff. Will never come again..
