"A Friday night"

Staff were very helpful and friendly. There didn't appear to be enough of them for a busy Friday night. The bar and restaurant look amazing after their renovation. We had to wait too long for drinks and there was confusion with staff over how to make a lime and soda drink, which meant more delays. I had fish and chips, my son a burger. We both thought portion sizes for fries, chips and sides were on the small side for Yorkshire and for the price. We were going to have pudding/coffee but it just took too long to get mains cleared and puddings offered, so we didn't bother.
It is local to us and we want to use The Crown fairly regularly. We would like to see more staff and better portion sizes for Main meals.
