"Characterful hotel with excellent staff and delicious food"

Four of us visited for two nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Decor is beautiful both in the rooms and public areas. We ate in the hotel the first night and wished we had booked for both as our meal the second night in a nearby pub did not compare. Food was tasty and drinks excellent. Service at dinner was spot on. However we did have a long wait for our cooked breakfast the first morning after having our cereal & fruit by which time our tea was stewed.....
