"Somewhat dated in particular with respect to disabled or elderly people."

The howler here is the total absence of a lift. We appreciate that the building is listed, but this is a hotel that should cater correctly for the disabled as well as the non disabled and this is a sad omission not only on the part of the hotel but also on the part of the listed building organisation. Our room was 301 and was uncomfortable due to lack of air conditioning. Yes you could open a window to cool things down but then you would be woken by the insane screams of seagulls. The shower thermostat could not be controlled and is in need of replacement - very uncomfortable. The lack of an wall switched over head light causes problems for the sight impaired, (Lesley has AMD). More desktop room is needed for laptops etc.
