The Swan Hotel, Stafford

"Rather disappointing"

Lovely setting and very good service, but the quality of the breakfast has fallen from great quality in the Lewis Partnership days, to pretty mediocre quality.
All items were cooked and presented well, but it was a case of quantity over quality.
2 poor quality hash browns.
1 very large, poor quality sausage
2 rashers of bacon, mushroom, beans, 2 eggs, black pudding, tomato and toast.

I would have much preferred a little less but with far better quality. We came to the Swan for a birthday breakfast, but will probably go elsewhere as you can get the same quality at a cafe for less cost.

Also, we were disappointed, despite having booked, to not be allowed to sit in the restaurant, as it wasn't permitted anymore for non-resisdents.
